Happy Sunday everyone! We made it through the weekend and it’s time to plan for the week. Honestly, I love my weekends. But knowing I have this time set aside to plan my week is a great cherry on the ice cream sundae of the weekend.
For the most part, I’m caught up on my to do list. Just have today’s blog post left. I was even going to try and learn about my Cricut that was my Christmas present to myself, but apparently the Cricut website is having a temper tantrum.
So, back to planning. I do somewhat of a hybrid of planning between my phone and Patricia. Who’s Patricia, you ask? Patricia is the name I gave my planner – because she’s my personal assistant. And I use my phone so that my son knows what’s going on on a particular day and doesn’t worry when I don’t come home right away.
I compare the two schedules and make sure they match. Which, in this case, they do. I remembered that my manager at work is out this week, so I make a notation of that in my planner. Next Monday is a company holiday, so I make a note to turn on my out of office on my work email for Friday. Oh – these last 2 notes are work notes, so I make sure to write them in red ink. I’m busy on Sunday with dance stuff, so I make a note that laundry has to get done on Saturday.
And that’s pretty much it. Like I said yesterday, I don’t meal plan. I have enough taco hotdish from yesterday in the fridge to feed us for the week (yes, we can and do eat the same meal for a week). Bills have been paid, except for one that I have to call in a payment for tomorrow.
I don’t make a big production out of my week planning. That’s because when I schedule a new appointment, I write it down right away. Every month, I print the next month’s daily pages and add those appointments and repeating tasks. Like pay bills. I do enough pre-planning that my actual week planning is more of a review and synchronize.
But, that being said, I still make it a point to review my week every Sunday. Even if I only have time a half hour before bed, it gets done. It’s one of my good habits.
Today’s question for the audience: What’s one good habit you have that you’re proud of?
Until tomorrow –
